The Story of MaaVratam
From one devotee to another,
If you are reading this today, I believe it is not by accident. Like many of you, my journey began with a simple desire to feel closer to God.
I am Praggna Sai. While many know me as a BITS Pilani graduate, author, and founder of MaaVratam, I simply see myself as a flower at my Guru’s lotus feet, an ordinary girl who found immense peace and love through vratas and prayer.
Over the years, I was blessed to observe many sacred vratas. What began as a simple act of faith gradually became a source of comfort, clarity, and inner peace. Through these practices, I experienced the beauty of trusting God’s timing and surrendering life’s worries at his feet.
One day, while speaking with my mother, a question stayed with me: “If these traditions can bring so much peace into our lives, why are so many people struggling to experience them?” Many wished to perform vratas but didn’t know where to begin, couldn’t find authentic vratakathas, or found it difficult to gather the necessary pooja items.
That simple thought became the seed of MaaVratam.
MaaVratam was created to make sacred traditions simple, authentic, and accessible for every devotee. Through our books, vratakathas, publications, spiritual essentials, and thoughtfully curated vrata kits, we hope to help people focus less on preparation and more on devotion.
Every book we publish and every kit we create carries a prayer, that our traditions continue to live on, that more families reconnect with their spiritual roots, and that every devotee experiences the same peace and divine grace that these vratas have brought into my life.
Above all, MaaVratam is my humble offering at the lotus feet of my Guru. Every blessing, every opportunity, and every devotee we are able to serve is possible only through his grace. If there is any goodness in this work, the credit belongs entirely to only him. I am simply grateful to be a small instrument in his service.
With gratitude,
Praggna Sai
A Humble Servant at My Guru’s Lotus Feet
